Most people can report having had some sort of stomach trouble, be it indigestion, heart burn or acid reflux, gas and bloating, or problems going to the bathroom. Good stomach health is important. Your stomach plays an important role in digestion and what you digest affects your overall health.

My approach to helping you achieve and maintain proper stomach health is to first to determine what’s causing your problems. Could it be gas? Gas forms in your colon because bacteria ferment carbohydrates not digested in your small intestine. And high fiber foods like fruits and vegetables cause gas. But while these foods have many healthful properties, you might be eating too much of one type . . . or, you might be eating way too much junk food!

Lactose intolerance, acid reflux, and Irritable Bowel Syndrome may also cause bloating, indigestion, constipation, leaky guy, heart burn, etc., all can be brought about by the foods you eat. Your doctor can test for these, but it still could plainly be your diet.

How to get rid of stomach issues?

Gut relief starts with improved diet and regular exercise. So limit your consumption of troublesome foods. For example, fruits and vegetables are an integral part of a healthy diet, but no two bodies are the same. Some people tolerate grains better than others. So your diet might include more vegetables and fewer grains than your friend’s. Going gluten-free is option, so is incorporating more protein, or eating cutting out sugar, we’re all different!

Aerobic exercise, like running and walking, helps reduce indigestion. Because moving aids in digestion and your body’s natural release of gas. So take a walk after meals, especially if you sit at a desk all day. And good posture is great for digestion too.

Try Yoga! Because basic Yoga twists massage the internal organs, stimulating digestion.

“Working with Kathy was most informative. The sessions consisted of healthy food choices and how you eat your food and why your make the choices you make. Great experience, I plan to continue working with Kathy to reach my goal.”
