Having low energy levels could be chronic fatigue syndrome. Which is tiredness not cured by sleep or rest. But the exact cause of chronic fatigue is a mystery. Because fatigue is a common symptom of numerous health conditions. Viral infections. Psychological stress. Anxiety and depression. Food allergies and gluten intolerance. All can be contributing factors.
Also, tiredness is a symptom of hyperthyroidism. Hyperthyroidism is an overactive thyroid gland. And thyroid problems can cause tiredness and muscle weakness. In addition to weight gain and increased appetite, and issues with mood.
But the cause of low energy may be a poor diet. That’s an easier fix! And you should fix it. Because low energy can hurt work performance and personal relationships. People may begin to think that you’re just lazy. And that you’re faking it. So don’t let that happen. Let’s take back control of your life!
How to treat low energy?
Low energy affects people in different ways. So there is no one size fits all approach. Ask your doctor to test for viral infections. Because mononucleosis and Epstein-Barr are known to sap energy. Also, blood tests will reveal vitamin deficiencies. Such as vitamin D, iron, and potassium. And all are important to maintaining healthy energy levels. So is vitamin C. Because vitamin C makes our immune systems strong. And a healthy immune system can help ward off sickness and disease.
Now if you’re always tired, exercise might be the last thing you want to do. But it’s important to keep active. Because regular exercise can boost your stamina. But pace yourself! Listen to your body and find a comfortable level of activity and stick to it. Go for a gradual increase. Because pushing yourself too hard will definitely tire you out.
And try to avoid caffeine and keep to a regular sleep schedule. So that means set a bedtime. Because regular sleep patterns are essential for good health. And no coffee after dinner. Too much caffeine can lead to insomnia.
